Tawainai is 17" tall

**Im so pleased to announce Tawainai was honored with1st place in the Amigurumi Category of theFirst Annual URSA Awards. A BIG thank you to all of you who voted for him!!!

Please let me introduce you to my latest panda, Tawainai, which means "silly" in Japanese.

Tawainai has been created out of an off white and black Schulte mohair with wool felt paw pads. He peer through Antique shoebutton eyes with white and grey wool felt tucked behind them. (The grey is hard to see in the photos) His nose has been sculpted out of fimo with a white "shadow" to add character. I have airbrushed his eyepatches and highlighted around his nose to give him a sweet innocent look.

He is fully jointed with hardboard discs and locknuts and has been stuffed with a combination of excelsior and glass pellets for a little weight. I have completed his look with a simple red bow around his neck.

Unique Japanese Style Bears Im very excited to tell you about my new series of bears!They will be called Out Of The Box Bears or OTB Bears. Each will all be Japanese style bears that I have spent many hours designing over the last few months. Im excited about this new design because they are alot different then the more traditional bears I make. After 7+ years of bear making, I was ready for a much needed change and a new adventure. I will still continue to make my traditional bears, with an occasional Japanese style bear.
